The information usually comes from:
If, however some of the information is not available I resort to my know-how as an engineer to fill in the gaps.
I use Adobe Illustrator since 20 years to create comprehendable, educative illustrations. If required, I am able to add human figures and/or use the illustrations in animations.
If 3D files are supplied, I can integrate them into the illustration as delivered, or add textures, lighting and if necessary missing parts by using software like CadProcess, Rhino 3D and Cinema 4D
The created illustrations can be used for:
conveying animations using Adobe Flash, e.g. for educational and demonstration purposes After importing the illustrations into Adobe Flash, I program the animations either over a timeline in order that the user can use stop, pause or rewind buttons, or as a single frame scripted animation where specific sequences can be seen in real-time: (see simulations/planet gear system).
If required, I can integrate xml text files into the animation so that, for example, languages can be exchanged without restarting or interupting the animations continuity.
